Our Story: Creating Space at Mallow Art Gallery

Mallow Art Gallery is more than just a virtual exhibition space—it’s a solution born from experience and driven by a powerful commitment to equity. Founder and Director Farra Pierre established the gallery after years of selling her own work and witnessing the systemic challenges faced by Black and Brown artists.

Operating under Mallow Arts, LLC, the gallery's mission is clear: to ensure the art market reflects the true diversity of its talent. While all artists are welcome to participate in our shows, Mallow Art Gallery is laser-focused on showcasing and advocating for BIPOC artists, particularly those of Black descent, who have historically lacked equitable platforms for professional exhibition and sales.

Based in New England, Farra brings a robust background to this mission: a practicing artist with a certification in Visual & Performing Arts, a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and a crucial Master’s degree in the Business of Art and Design. Her blend of creative and business expertise ensures Mallow Art Gallery is a supportive and professionally managed platform.

As a primarily virtual gallery, we connect artists with buyers through our website, pop-up gallery events, and art fairs. We are excited to announce our inaugural show will take place in the Winter of 2025, marking a new chapter in our mission to diversify the art world.

Our Values

Mallow Art Gallery is driven by a commitment to core values that seek to reshape the contemporary art market. We believe in authenticity, prioritizing genuine creative voices and fostering a space where artists can present their uncompromised artistic visions. Our mission is centered on equity and inclusion, proactively working to dismantle systemic barriers by focusing on BIPOC artists and providing them with a professional platform for exhibition and economic growth. By holding ourselves accountable to these values, we aim to not only showcase exceptional art but also to cultivate a more diverse, fair, and honest art world for both creators and collectors.

What We Offer

Mallow Art Gallery provides a space for emerging as well as experienced artists to showcase their work. It's a platform for artists to connect their work to the public, helping to shine a light on their creations and opening them up to potential opportunities. We function as an artist collective, holding an environment for artists to engage with one another and learn from each other.

In the future, we aspire to offer artist interviews in the hopes of learning an artist's journey on a deep level. We find that this helps us with truly understanding an artist's life and work, and we want to share that with the world however we can. If you are looking to support us in this mission, please consider donating to our mission by selecting the Support tab in the Menu.
